The Interior of the One-Bedroom Apartment in the Triumph Palace Residential Complex

Interior design · 97 sq m

 Moscow · 2017

The apartment is located in the residential skyscraper Triumph Palace (Sokol District, northwest Moscow). The panoramic windows offer a beautiful view of the city.
High ceilings (three meters) were one of the main advantages of the apartment.
In designing, we faced a challenging task. We were to create an additional room to place a table with the railway layout and for storing the collection. Our customer has been fond of road modeling since childhood. He has acquired a great collection, which is constantly being updated. It was necessary to design the room so that it could be accessed from two sides, and to make it possible to open the transformable table to arrange the layout. The table is 180 cm wide and 400 cm long. When unfolded, it makes up 600 cm.
The room to accommodate the layout was arranged in the hall area. From this side it is separated by sliding glass partitions running up to the ceiling. So, the room has enough daylight entering it. There is the second entrance to the room, from the hallway. To avoid overwhelming the space, it was suggested to use swing concealed doors painted the same colour as the walls.
The interior is designed in a minimalistic style with a focus on natural materials and rich colours.
In the hall, we opted for natural slate to finish the wall behind the TV. Swiss heat-treated oak makes the flooring of the entire apartment. The bathrooms were decorated with large-format marble-like porcelain stoneware.
High ceilings and rooms full of light allowed us to bring a dramatic black touch into the interior.
